JOB DESCRIPTION
- Amec Foster Wheeler is currently recruiting for a Subcontracts Engineer for a 12 month contract.
- Pre-qualification of bidders
- Coordination with related disciplines with regards to tender documents preparation
- Preparation, compilation and issuance of tender documents
- Commercial evaluation of bids received
- Coordination with other disciplines for the technical evaluations of proposals
- Chair technical and commercial clarifications with bidders
- Award recommendations
- Evaluation of contractors payment applications and issuance of Payment Certificate
- Evaluation of variation and EOT claims
- Negotiation with contractors
- Correspondence with contractors
- Attend site weekly progress meeting and taking notes of meeting
- Liaison with Client
- Contract close-out
- Archiving of documents
- Any other commercial functions the Subcontract Manager / Lead may assign
Skills / Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- More than 10 years experience as Contracts Engineer in pre and post contract administration works, with at least 2 years of which in the Oil & Gas Industry
